Scuba Diving |
|
With the Indian and Atlantic
Oceans to choose from, visitors are provided with
plenty of diving opportunties along the Cape
Peninsula including reefs and numerous ship wrecks.
Water temperatures vary from between 9 and 17
degrees and visibility can reach up to 25 metres.
The Atlantic is cooled by the
Benguela current coming up from the southern
Atlantic and bringing with it water rich in
micro-organisms. This accounts for the huge kelp
forests found on the Atlantic as well as the fish,
seals and whales which feed on the smaller animals.
Falling short of the vibrant
displays of colour as seen in tropical waters, there
is an adundance of marine life to be seen including
shoals of fish, corals, dolphins, penguins and
sharks.
Most sites are easily accessible
from the roads and subsequently a lot of shore
diving is done. Several dive centers are equipped
with a retail shop as well as a fully fitted
classroom and lecture facilities. Training classes
and daily charters are offer.
The aim is to have an awesome and
unique diving experience with a team who has
extensive knowledge of scuba diving, marine life,
dive sites, conditions, safety, and absolutely love
scuba diving! |
